After a brief hour of rest following their narrow defeat to RIS, the U18 Girls Football Team faced another challenge, battling both rising temperatures and the scorching artificial playing surface against ICS.

The match started positively for RST, with an early connection between Victoria.A and Tanya.J narrowly missing the goal. The girls displayed great attacking focus, creating numerous chances in the first 10 minutes of the half.

In the 15th minute, ICS managed to sneak a low shot into the corner, despite a stretching attempt by our goalkeeper Phoenix.S. This gave ICS a 1-0 lead in the first half. Victoria.A made a commendable effort from outside the box, narrowly missing the target by inches. Phoenix.S then displayed her agility and Volleyball skills, with a fantastic save, tipping the ball over the bar.

However, ICS found the net again, this time from a corner, just 5 seconds before halftime, making it 2-0 at the break. Despite the heat, the RST girls remained resilient and eager to mount a comeback.

The second half began with a bang, as Unna.C took advantage of a through ball from Victoria.A, taking a one-touch strike that found the back of the net, making it 2-1 in favor of ICS.

In the 35th minute, ICS struck again, this time in the corner of the goal, with Phoenix.S stretching as far as possible to make the save. Only three minutes later, the girls, fatigued from their relentless efforts, conceded another goal, resulting in a final score of 4-1 in favor of ICS.

The Player of the Match honors went to debutant Phoenix.S, who showcased remarkable effort in every save she made. The girls should hold their heads high for the tremendous effort they put in, especially considering the challenging conditions they faced throughout the game.
